People saw him sitting quietly beside the wet trash bags on a cold morning.
His body was thin. His once-white fur was matted with mud, rainwater, and the dirt of too many days without care. His weak legs pressed against the filthy ground, trembling as if even a small gust of wind could make him fall.
Beside him were garbage bags, plastic bottles, dirty scraps, and a tray of cold leftover food.
That was where he had been left.
That was where he had been waiting.
No one knew when he was abandoned. Maybe it happened during the rain. Maybe it happened when the street was empty. Maybe someone brought him there, walked away, and never looked back.
He could not follow.
His body was too weak.
So he only sat there beside the trash, watching people pass with tired, pleading eyes.
Some people saw him.
Some stepped around him.
Some looked once, then kept walking.
But no one seemed to understand that behind those sad eyes was a heart that had been waiting for far too long.

The rain made his fur heavy. Dirty water gathered around his paws. Hunger twisted his stomach, but he barely had the strength to move. He only touched the plastic bottle in front of him with one weak paw, as if trying to hold on to anything at all.
Sometimes, he tried to stand.
But his legs shook, and he sank back down.
He did not bark.
He did not growl.
He did not ask for anything.
He only looked at the world with eyes that seemed to ask:
“What did I do wrong to be left here?”
The most heartbreaking part is that he may have once been loved. He may have once wagged his tail when someone called his name. He may have once believed that humans were the safest place to turn to.
But now, he sat beside garbage as if he had been thrown away too.
A living soul placed in a place he never should have belonged.
If no one stops for him, he may grow weaker little by little. He may lie down on the cold ground and disappear in silence, just like the way he was forgotten.
But he does not deserve to end like that.
He deserves to be given a name.
He deserves to be lifted from the dirty ground.
He deserves to be healed, fed, kept warm, and shown that not every human hand will leave him behind.
