A dog had fallen into a deep well inside an abandoned home in Fairfield, California.

Even after treading water for what rescuers believe was at least two hours, she still fought with every bit of strength she had left. At one point, she bravely grabbed onto a rescue loop with her teeth and tried to push herself upward from the dark well.
She was tired, but she was not giving up.
Finally, rescuers pulled Fiona to safety.
She had abrasions, she was cold, and her body was completely exhausted. But she was alive.
Most importantly, she was back in the arms of the people who had been desperately searching for her.
Fiona was taken for medical care and is now home recovering well. Her family is overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who helped bring her back.
This rescue was a true miracle — made possible by fast action, skilled first responders, and one incredibly brave dog who refused to stop fighting.
For two terrifying hours, Fiona kept herself alive in the dark water.
And because help came in time, she finally made it home.
