A man has been convicted in an animal cruelty case that left many people heartbroken and outraged.
The victim was a female pit bull mix — a living being who should have been protected, cared for, and loved. Instead, she was beaten with a baseball bat so severely that she lost the ability to walk.

And when an injured animal cannot speak for herself, humans must become her voice.
