The Little White Dog Who Was Kicked Off the Bridge

Snowy was a small white dog with soft, fluffy fur and gentle eyes that always looked at the world with trust. He was cute, quiet, and harmless. Even when he was in pain, he never barked at anyone. He only lowered his head, wagged his little tail, and hoped someone would be kind to him.

One of Snowy’s legs was wrapped in a cast. He had been injured before, so every step was difficult for him. He could not run like other dogs. He could not jump or play freely. He could only walk slowly, carefully placing one paw in front of the other.

That afternoon, Snowy was walking across a bridge alone. The wind blew through his fluffy white fur, and his little cast made a soft tapping sound against the ground. He looked tired, but he kept moving forward, trying his best with his injured leg.

People passed by without paying much attention to him.

Then, a man walked toward him in a hurry.

Snowy tried to move aside, but his injured leg slowed him down. Before he could avoid the man, his small body accidentally bumped against the man’s leg.

Snowy froze.

He looked up with frightened eyes. His ears dropped low, and his tail gave a tiny, nervous wag, as if he was trying to say sorry. He had not meant to bother anyone. He was only a hurt little dog trying to cross the bridge.

But the man became angry.

He shouted at Snowy. His loud voice made the little dog tremble. Snowy stepped back in fear, but his cast made him lose balance. He lowered his head even more, hoping the man would understand that it had only been an accident.

But there was no kindness in the man’s eyes.

In his anger, the man lifted his foot and kicked Snowy hard.

The small white dog was thrown off the bridge.

For one terrifying moment, Snowy’s tiny body fell through the air. Then he hit the ground beneath the bridge with a painful cry.

His fluffy white fur was covered in dirt. Blood slowly oozed from his weak little body. His injured leg lay awkwardly beside him, and the cast that once protected him now looked helpless and dirty.

Snowy cried softly.

He tried to lift his head, but the pain was too much. His body shook. His eyes filled with tears as he looked up toward the bridge, as if he still could not understand what had just happened.

He had only bumped into someone by accident.

He had tried to apologize in the only way he knew — with frightened eyes, lowered ears, and a trembling little tail.

But instead of mercy, he received cruelty.

Snowy lay beneath the bridge, crying quietly in pain. His breathing was weak, and his white fur was stained with blood and dust. The world above him continued moving, but his little world had stopped in that lonely, painful moment.

He did not understand anger.

He did not understand cruelty.

He only understood pain, fear, and the heartbreaking feeling of being hurt when all he wanted was to pass by safely.

As Snowy rested his head on the cold ground, his tearful eyes seemed to ask one silent question:

“I only bumped into you by accident… why did you hurt me so much?”
